My Internship at Fourity: A Front Row Seat to Real Development
Internships are often the bridge between academic learning and the real-world tech industry. They allow aspiring developers to dive into actual projects, explore their interests, and develop practical skills that set the foundation for their careers. In celebration of National Intern Day, we’re sharing stories from within our team that highlight just how impactful this experience can be.
Gojko Vučković joined Fourity as a curious and motivated intern, eager to get a taste of what it means to work in a professional development environment. During his time with us, Gojko embraced the opportunity to challenge himself, learn new technologies, and collaborate with a team that supported his growth every step of the way.
How did you decide to enroll in an internship at Fourity?
During the last year of my studies, I needed to do an internship for one of the classes, but I also wanted to get experience working in a real office, interacting with people. I stumbled upon Fourity and decided to apply.
What are the most challenging and most interesting aspects of the internship?
During this internship, I wanted to use technologies I haven’t used yet, so both the most challenging and the most interesting parts were the learning process of those technologies and using them alongside my own set of skills to create the best end result possible
How is it to be the youngest of all colleagues?
I am used to being the youngest in most of my friend groups, so it is not a giant stretch for me. I also felt like everyone wanted to check up on me more because I am the youngest.
How have your colleagues received you?
Colleagues treated me as a part of this company since day one, welcoming me with open arms, always there to offer me help when needed, but also being very engaged in my project, wanting to know how far I have come.
Do you have a mentor? How is he affecting your development?
I have a mentor, he made this internship incredibly interesting by acting as both my guiding light and client at the same time, offering me advice and guidance while also leaving space for me to grow and research on my own.
In which aspect do you find the internship most helpful?
The most helpful aspect of this internship for me is that I was shown the actual workflow of creating the end product, from the beginning consultations to the implementation and deployment.
What can the company offer to interns? Would you recommend it to your colleagues?
I would definitely recommend Fourity to my colleagues. This company can offer a stepping stone to their future in web development.
